Montreal vs Philadelphia NHL Live

Montreal vs Philadelphia NHL

“With each series, it obviously gets harder and harder, but I don’t think you can look past that next game and that next win,” Philadelphia defenseman Chris Pronger said. “You’ve got to focus on closing out a team and being closers. We’ve got a team now down 3-1. We’ve got to get that fourth win.

“We’ve got to understand what it’s going to take, because they’re obviously a team that’s had their backs against the wall throughout the course of this playoff, through Washington and Pittsburgh, and they’ve been able to rally and come back. We obviously want to stymie that and make sure we’re putting our foot on the throat.”

The Flyers can advance to the finals for the first time since 1997 with a victory in Game 5 on Monday night at home in front of their raucous, orange-clad fans.

Another loss Monday night would give Boston a sweep and end Orlando’s hopes for a second consecutive berth in the NBA finals.

Nascar ‘Autism Speaks 400’ Kyle Busch Wins

Busch, 25, a champion in waiting, and Johnson, a proven one, waged quite a battle on the high-banked, 1-mile track, the lead see-sawing back and forth between the two each time the race resumed following five caution periods and assorted green-flag stops.

But when Johnson was flagged for speeding while exiting the pits during a round of green-flag stops on Lap 363 and forced to return to pit road to serve a pass-through penalty, the battle was effectively finished.

Pitting closer to the entrance to pit road, Johnson had completed his stop and was making his way back onto the track when Busch shot out of his pit box alongside him.
Johnson said he didn’t speed up to beat Busch back onto the track but was penalized for speeding before reaching Busch’s pit stall.

England Vs Australia T20 World Cup Final Preview

The cricketing rivalry between Australia and England dates back to the 19th century. While the contest on Sunday does not have a Larwood vs Bradman feel to it, it is undoubtedly the biggest stage the two sides have been on for a very long time. Each team has had its share of glory in the past. However, for a major part of the last two decades, Australia has been the dominant side. But the teams have been more evenly matched in recent times. England reclaimed the Ashes in August 2009, but Australia has managed to maintain the upper-hand in the limited overs format. This time around though both the teams are on a roll and there is not much that separates them on paper. Thus, cricket lovers around the world should be witness to a high intensity clash for the ultimate prize in the shortest format of the game.

After the semi-finals in St. Lucia, the action will return to the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The wickets in the previous matches at this venue have been a bit on the bouncier side and something similar will be expected in the final. The boundaries are not the biggest either and hence we could have a high-scoring contest in store.

Barring the semi-final against Pakistan, Australia has virtually steam-rolled every obstacle that has come in their way. They have played the same eleven in each and every match. The players seem to well aware of their respective roles in the team and more often than not, they have successfully come up with what has been expected from them. Hence, the same XI should in all probability walk out to the park to battle for the title.

NHL Preview: Montreal Vs Philadelphia

NHL Preview: Montreal Vs Philadelphia
“We had our celebrations in the locker room,” goalie Michael Leighton(notes) said Saturday of Friday’s Game 7 win. “On the plane it was more just thinking about what we just did. It was kind of quiet, but you knew everybody was happy. I think everyone was just sitting back in their seat reading a book or listening to music or looking up at the ceiling on the plane thinking, ‘What did we just do?’ That was amazing.”

The upstart Montreal Canadiens are all that stand between the Flyers and their first trip to the Stanley Cup finals since 1997. Philadelphia had only one day to shake off the aftereffects of Boston Game 7 before facing the Canadiens Sunday night.

“It’s probably the hottest team right now and probably the most dangerous team left in the playoffs,” Montreal forward Scott Gomez(notes) said Saturday before the Canadiens flew to Philadelphia. “You kind of wish they got a little break there because they’re rolling right now.”
